Accord Wars Season 2 — Trial #4
The Cunning Champions, it turns out, were simply busy last week and needed a moment, and they have returned from that moment with 2587 points and absolutely zero interest in discussing the previous Trial any further.

The Alusian Pathfinders, who made such a convincing case for themselves just seven days ago, find themselves at 1477, which is still a perfectly respectable number and a perfectly respectable second place, though the Sovereign Warriors sitting at 1441 right behind them are probably making that second place feel a little less roomy than anyone would like, and the distance between those two numbers is small enough that both Accords can probably hear each other breathing.
The Paperwork
Nine pods, three rounds, thirty-six separate opportunities for the board to do something interesting, and it did, repeatedly, in ways that take up pages and pages when you try to write them all down and start to swim together after a while because there is only so much the human mind can absorb before it starts filing things under "and then more things happened."
What the rounds were kind enough to leave in legible form was Meatgazer at the top of the broker board with 482 points, and Cephalon9999 trailing by exactly nine of them at 473, which is a gap so thin it seems almost impolite, and Raventhon of the Sovereign Warriors at 463 with his beloved Agent named Jeb!

The Distinguished Few

The top five this week were, by all available evidence, taking things quite seriously, with Meatgazer and TejonMx and Risotto Groupon accumulating points for the Champions with the quiet confidence of people who already know how the story ends, and Cephalon9999 accumulating points for the Pathfinders with the slightly louder confidence of someone who is very much working on a different ending, and Raventhon accumulating points for the Sovereign Warriors while everyone else was busy looking at the top two Accords and forgetting that third place is right there, very much present, very much interested.
The General Situation
Last Trial had a certain energy to it, a sense that the board was finally loosening up and letting someone new have a turn at the top, and that energy was lovely while it lasted, which was approximately one week, after which the Cunning Champions returned and put 2587 points on the board and the gap between first and second stretched out to 1110 points, which is the kind of number that settles into the leaderboard and gets comfortable and suggests it may be staying for a while.
Trial 5 will clarify things further, or it will make everything more complicated, and either way the Firmament will watch with the same patient, unhurried interest it always does.
TejonMx also took the time this week to produce a meme, which has been entered into the official record.

Let Chaos Reign.
